Diocese of Morogoro
The mission at Morogoro started with the errection of the Apostolic Vicariate Middle-Sansibar centered at Bagamoyo. In 1953 followed the incorporation as a diocese with residence in Morogoro. 40 percent of about 1.3 millions inhabitants are catholics.

The Institute of Philosophy and Theology
At his visit in 1990, Pope John Paul II. blessed the foundation stone. Donations especially from South Germany made the construction possible. In 1999 this formation centre for about 15 religious communities was finished. Today more than 350 religious study there.

The Formation House
At the eastern edge of the complex of buildings are two buildings for our Salvatorian students.
They are well used by over 30 persons.

The Kindergarten
Five employees of the institute got together and opened a private kindergarten only a few meters away. Many things are still missing, but the daily meal for the children who partly come from a poor background, belongs to the program. Help is wanted.

The Brothers’ House "Bigwa Miti Mitatu"
Only a few kilometres away, we Salvatorians could purchase in 2007 a house with an admirable garden and establish a special centre for the brothers in formation.
