"Karibu"- Welcome

At the General Chapter 2006, Fr. Lazarus Msimbe, the Provincial, invited me to come to Tanzania. This "karibu" was also meant as a thank you for all the help received from Germany.
There was great joy about my visit. Br. Bogdan and Br. Evance welcomed me at the airport, Fr. Christopher accompanied me to Sansibar, Fr. Lazarus showed me the parishes in and around Daressalam and  Morogoro. Fr. Eugene gave me a tour of the settlements and parishes in the south, the Benedictine abbey of Ndanda and several sister convents. Br. Cyril showed me the novitiate of the Salvatorian sisters in Makulani and the bustling activities in the shops in Masasi.

Many confreres and sisters said "karibu" and allowed me to have a look at their life and the work they are doing. They were very interested in the MaZ-project. I was impressed by the general openness: people are interested in the welfare and the needs of their fellow human beings. Guests are welcome and in the streets one can see a lot of children.
